By accessing or using ColossalLaw ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

ColossalLaw is an AI-powered legal information tool that provides general legal analysis and information across multiple jurisdictions. The Service uses artificial intelligence (including Google Gemini) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to analyze legal questions and provide educational responses.

You agree NOT to input any personal or identifying information into the Service, including but not limited to:

The Service uses Google OAuth for authentication. We use your Google account solely for login verification. We do NOT store your email address or Google profile data. Only a pseudonymous, opaque user identifier is retained for session management. See our Privacy Policy for details.

The Service, its design, code, and branding are the property of ColossalLaw. AI-generated responses are provided for your personal use. You may not reproduce or redistribute them commercially without attribution.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service interface. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with reasonable notice where possible. Upon termination, all associated session data will be deleted.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution (Anwendbares Recht)

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. For consumers (Verbraucher) within the EU, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence apply in addition. The place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany, unless mandatory statutory provisions require a different jurisdiction.

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated and not willing to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board.

In accordance with the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation 2024/1689), we disclose that this Service uses generative AI systems (Google Gemini). Responses are machine-generated and should be verified by qualified professionals. The AI may produce inaccurate, biased, or outdated results. This system is classified as a limited-risk AI system requiring transparency obligations.

16. Severability (Salvatorische Klausel)

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely approximates the economic intent of the invalid provision.
